There was some drama on a recent episode of the BBC’s brilliant car series “Top Gear.” Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were there to promote “Knight and Day” and took a spin in the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment. Their test drives were more exciting than the movie.

A few things to keep in mind: It’s a new car, so the top time is only among a dozen or so drivers who’ve driven it. Let’s see how it holds up over time.  But still, those Americans can drive! U-S-A! U-S-A! Also, Cameron Diaz’s face looks more plastic that the dashboard of the Kia.

Look for the episode to air on BBC America in a few months; spring maybe?
