New channel alert: Today is the debut of the Cooking Channel, a Food Network spinoff aimed at a “hipper” foodie crowd. It replaces Fine Living Channel, but check your cable provider for the exact channel.

Watch it

“The Bachelorette” (8 p.m., ABC). How little is on TV tonight? This is the best there is. Sad, huh? On the bright side, two guys almost trade punches over Ali. It’s always fun to watch idiots make fools of themselves on national TV.

“Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” (10 p.m., Food Network). Guy Fieri heads for Sonoma for tri-tip at the Schellville Grill.

Record it

“Dhani Tackles the Globe” (8 p.m., Travel). Dhani hits the beach to play volleyball. It better be the kind played with your feet.

Oldies but goodies

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (9 p.m., Comedy Central). Starting tonight, Comedy Central will air reruns of “Always Sunny” every Monday. Check out two hours’ worth of Season 1 episodes tonight.

Marathon time

“Band of Brothers” (starting at 9 a.m., Spike). For Memorial Day, check out the greatest war story ever put to film. By the end you’ll want to shake a vet’s hand in appreciation.

“Jersey Shore” (starting at 2 p.m., MTV). Or you can watch this instead and weep for America’s future.

Skip it

“True Beauty” (10 p.m., ABC). Watch models act horribly. This just looks sad.
