“Friday Night Lights” (10 p.m., NBC). Once again, this will probably start late because of the Giants game. Set your recording accordingly, or just watch the end of the game. Meanwhile, over in Dillon, the boosters set their sights on ousting Tami and Eric learns about East Dillon’s history.

“Party Down” (10 p.m., Starz). The gang caters a regional theater shindig, and dopey Kyle tries to seduce a rich would-be donor.

Games of the day

NBA playoffs: Celtics vs. Magic (5:30 p.m., ESPN). The Magic have won two in a row — can the Celtics seal the deal tonight or will the series go back to Orlando for Game 7?

Rugby: New Zealand vs. Australia (9 p.m., CSN-CA). So what if you’ve never seen a rugby match? This bitter rivalry of two of the world’s top teams is the equivalent of the Giants-Dodgers Down Under. Check it out for a change of pace, and try not to cringe too much at some of those hits.

“Past Life” (8 p.m., Fox). Remember this “Medium”/”Ghost Whisperer” wannabe? I barely do. It got canceled waaaaay back when, and the remaining episodes are getting burned off now. So don’t get attached.
