It’s looking like a sad ending for “Happy Town.” ABC is pulling the “Twin Peaks” wannabe from its lineup after Wednesday’s episode. The remaining five episodes will be burned off over the summer, starting June 2.

Pretty much no one watched the first two episodes of the supposed thriller (it was getting about a 1.2 rating, which, in layman’s terms, sucks) and it was a pretty terrible fit for Wednesdays, after a two-hour family comedy block.

Then again, yanking a series after only three episodes just makes viewers even more wary of watching serialized dramas. What’s the point of tuning in if it’ll get pulled after a couple of weeks?
