Watch it

“Human Target” (8 p.m., Fox). Get your weekly dose of mindless action. Tonight Chance guards a British princess from assassination. How much you wanna bet she’ll be hot?

“MythBusters” (9 p.m., Discovery). “Modern Family” and “Cougar Town” are reruns, and “Idol” elimination shows are 55 minutes of filler. Watch this instead. Tonight the gang tests a spy car escape scenario. Cool.

“In Plain Sight” (10 p.m., USA). As Mary works to protect the witnesses from her very first case, we learn in flashbacks how she joined the witness protection team.

“Top Chef Masters” (11 p.m., Bravo). Season premiere. The second season kicks off with the lovely Gail Simmons as a new full-time judge. Tonight’s chefs are Ana Sortun, Govind Armstrong, Jerry Traunfeld, Jimmy Bradley, Susan Feniger and Tony Mantuano. Wow, big crowd. And I don’t recognize a single name.

Record it

“Ghost Hunters” (9 p.m., Syfy). The team in the Sierra foothills of Northern California, investigating a haunted reform school in Ione. Spooky.

“Is It Possible” (10 p.m., Discovery). Video game-playing sheep, a human lightning rod and a robotic snake. What can beat that?

“South Park” (10 p.m., Comedy Central). Kyle gets sucked into Facebook. Ouch, been there, dude.

“Daily Show” (11 p.m., Comedy Central). Jon Stewart welcomes back former “Daily Show” correspondent Steve Carell. Hilarity will undoubtedly ensue.

“Colbert Report” (11:30 p.m., Comedy Central). David Simon (“Treme,” “The Wire”) is the guest.

Skip it

“Real World vs. Road Rules Challenge” (10 p.m., MTV). Season premiere. It used to be fun, but now it’s just a ‘roided-up disaster waiting to happen. And how is this still on when “Road Rules” has been off the air for like five years? Although . . . . if it was “Jersey Shore vs. Real World,” I’d totally watch.
