Watch it

“Amazing Race” (8 p.m., CBS). The teams head to Malaysia, where the have to choose between balancing a pole on their heads or climbing some stairs. Seems like a no-brainer, so there must be a catch.

“The Pacific” (9 p.m., HBO). The Marines are back in action in New Britain, and Leckie has a breakdown and is sent to a psychiatric hospital. Meanwhile, Eugene Sledge goes through basic training and prepares to ship out.

“Breaking Bad” (10 p.m., AMC). Things between Walt and Skyler go from bad to worse. Speaking of worse, Hank’s plagued by more panic attacks. With The Cousins in town, I don’t blame him.

Catch a score

Women’s NCAA Tournament (4 p.m., ESPN). It’s the Final Four, with Stanford facing Oklahoma at 4 and the juggernaut that it UConn taking on Baylor and Britney “Sugar Ray” Griner, around 6:15. The women’s tourney has been filled with awful mismatches, but these games could finally be good.

Yankees at Red Sox (5 p.m., ESPN2). It’s the opening game of the season and — hey, what a coincidence! — it’s the Yankees and Red Sox. Ugh. But any baseball is better than no baseball, I suppose.

Record it

“America’s Worst Driver” (7 p.m. Travel). The competition moves to Miami, where there’s no shortage of horrible drivers. But how to choose just one?

“Life” (8 and 9 p.m., Discovery). Birds and Creatures of the Deep; cool video, but Oprah’s narration puts me to sleep.

“Masterpiece Classic: Sharpe’s Peril” (9 p.m., PBS). Part 2 of the action miniseries set in colonial India and starring Sean Bean.

“Ultimate Recipe Showdown” (9 p.m., Food Network). Amateur chefs square off in a burger challenge. Mmmmmm.

“How to Make It in America” (10 p.m., HBO). The season finale is here already. And here you thought something was actually going to happen over the course of the season. Sucker.

Skip it

“Minute to Win It” (8 p.m., NBC). Freebasing jellybeans would be a better way to waste an hour.

“Tool Academy 3” (9 p.m., VH1). The season finale, and one of these losers actually wins $100,000. How’s that for obscene?
